The studio
Kestrel Kinetics Research & Technology is an independent development and research studio creating original games, smart toys, interactive products and experimental technologies, combining creative design, physical computing, robotics, software development and academic research. Our games, including Cyber Bully: 502 Bad Gateway and Manic Monday, explore procedural worlds, reactive characters and emergent systems, while our smart toys, robotics and connected devices bring the same research-informed approach to physical products that entertain, respond and adapt. Every project is designed, prototyped and evaluated as both a complete experience and a practical platform for research, contributing to academic papers, conference presentations and ongoing collaboration with universities, researchers, engineers and technology partners.
